Destry
was born and raised near Ft. Scott, KS and he presently resides in Chanute,
KS. He and his wife Beth have been married for 13 years and have an 11-year
old son, Keaton. Destry has been an educator for 21 years, teaching for
11 years, and a principal for 7 years. He is currently the assistant superintendent
of schools in Chanute the past 3 years. Destry is active in his church and
community. He teaches an adult Sunday School class and is the administrative
chairperson in his church. He’s led the TGIW group in Chanute, KS
since its launch date in January 2004. He is also active in the Chanute
Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. He spends a significant amount of time attending
his son’s sporting events and he enjoys taking him hunting when they
have the chance.
