For
the last ten years, Patricia Plumb has been an educational consultant
for Sprint, a Fortune 500 company based in Overland Park, Kansas.
Patricia has trained over 8,000 employees on leadership
topics such as leading effective teams, facilitating agreement, coaching,
managing to win, interpersonal communications, teambuilding, and quality
process analysis.
In Patricia’s professional journey, she pioneered a program for Crittenton (a mental health and wellness facility) equipping school counselors with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with students at-risk. Patricia also presented to parents and teachers on parenting, building a child’s self-esteem, grief, communication skills, and stress management.
Previously, Patricia taught for 13 years in regular/special education classrooms and counseled children as an early intervention specialist. Ms Plumb earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia; and a M.A. in Special Education/Learning Disabilities from the University of Missouri, Kansas City; and an M.A. in Theology with an emphasis in Counseling from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA.
Patricia’s work has also encompassed shared leadership in forgiveness
and reconciliation on behalf of The Forgiveness Institute. She serves
on the Kansas City Advisory Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
and at her church of Covenant Chapel as a small group leader and prayer
team member.
